Artist's Comments

For lack of a better name

So I know what I make of it....

For me- something is wrong. Out of place. Someone is missing.
Someone used to sit in this chair, and now, not only is it empty, that person didn't want to get up. It wasn't his choice, as if someone made him and as he did that the chair was knocked over.
That is the story that I put together when I first saw what I drew as a whole. Explains a lot I think, given that that is my chair.

Thanks.... the wall is sorta my favorite as well....
maybe because I was not really sure if I would be able to draw it well and it ended nice after all.....

There was a lot of angst when I drew it.

There is a story behind it....
It is some notpadish paper that hte bank my dad is in gave him as a 'thanks for being a member' gift.
and well it came in a leather sort of covering....
so the cover made me feel very artisy and professional, so I took it.... :D

I like the drawing a lot, especially the crooked door. I just think the chair might be slightly too small.
And maybe you could make something better of the title - not that I can think of anything great right now - but maybe "The time had come" if it is forced as you wrote, or I thought of "Enough".
When I saw the picture I had the association of a person being tired of the work in the bureau and wanting to escape from it. The surrounding is associated with a somewhat prison.

I like what you make of...
About the title.... if I find something better I might change it.... thanks for the suggestions, but none of them struck me when I read them, so I will stick with my own for now.
